Help planning a destination wedding to CO?
My fiance and I would love to take our immediate family (Parents& Sibilings) and run away from PA to CO and get married. I'm looking for somewhere that I can have the wedding, small dinner, and stay for a couple days for our honeymoon. We don't want anything fancy, we could even go to a resturant for our "reception". I've been searching the internet and all I find is all inclusive wedding packages that cost alot, held in a fancy hall. I have the rings, I have the dress, my mom has the hair and makeup covered. All I need there is a place to stand, an officiant, and a photographer. Can anyone help?!?
In case you've missed Geography class in elementary school, PA is Pennsylvania and CO is Colorado!!!

Why not look for an officiant and then find a hotel or venue? Think as if you live there, get each part seperately: find the officiant, find the venue and then book a restaurant for dinner. You could probably use a resort setting if you called and said you wanted to rent the ground or usethe grounds for your wedding and then eat in the restaurant. Explain you have a small group and are not interested in "packages", they will probably accomodate you based on group size rather than event. Try The Knot's regional vendor feature to look in that area for officiants and venues.
Good luck!
First of all, have you narrowed down any area of CO? The airport is in East bumblefk and not near anything. It sounds to may be interested in a place such as Estes Park, CO. It is a small boutique-y town that leads into Rocky Mtn. Nat. Park. There are lots of little lodges, cabins to stay in there. That's about 2 hours north of DIA.
If you go due west you head straight into the ski areas of CO– Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, etc. These are also great places to go and the will have what you are looking for. (also 2 hours from DIA)

Keystone is wonderful in the summer- check this out–
in the summer you can still get lift tickets and ride with your family/officiant to the top of the mountain and get married up there- great views, and no need for any planning- just get the preacherman.
north of bolder there was a small hotel that had horse back riding and a chapel @ the top of a mountain side. I don't know what it's called seeing as how i was 13 but my uncle got married there and it was beautiful!
